Can Boys and Girls, grades K-5, Join the Cub Scouts?

YES! Pack 85 is here for you!!

Who are we and what do we do?

Cub Scout Pack 85 offers the full Cub Scout experience for boys and girls in our community, meaning that all youth will have access to the character development and values-based leadership that Scouting promises and be better prepared for future success.

To learn more about Cub Scouting, we encourage you to visit the Scouting America Cub Scouting site to learn about the aims and methods of Cub Scouting, to consider the benefits of Cub Scouting, and to explore the program in detail.

Cubs, with their families, enjoy personal growth as they work on their rank requirements and participate in a variety of activities, including hiking, family camping at the Boxwell Scout Reservation near Gallatin and elsewhere, Pack Meetings with songs & skits, service projects, crafts, Pinewood Derby, patriotic events, Memorial Day flag placement, end-of-Scouting-year celebration of our Cubs’ achievements, summer outdoor activities, and, at all times, FUN!

Pack 85 has a long history with Granbery Elementary School and is chartered (sponsored) by the Rotary Club of Franklin. It does not matter where your child goes to school; they are welcome in our Pack. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate with their children, and at the beginning Lion (Kindergarten) level, parent participation is mandatory. Cub Scouting is time well-spent with your child.

When do we meet?

All the Cubs of Pack 85 meet at Granbery Elementary for a Pack Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of each month during the Metro Nashville Public Schools school year (except as otherwise noted in our calendar). Lion (Kindergarten), Tiger (1st Grade), Wolf (2nd Grade), Bear (3rd Grade), Webelos (4th Grade), and Arrow of Light (5th Grade) dens generally also meet twice monthly at times and places set by Den Leaders and parents.
